وبعد إذنكم لقيت موضوع حلو يوضح كمان الفروق :
If you have been thinking about getting a pet fish for your home or office then you have probably been thinking about some sort of marine tank to put the fish in. Right? As you probably already know the range of choices can be a little overwhelming at times. Do I choose glass or acrylic? Now I know the well-being of your fish is the most important thing in the world to you and that is why you need make an informed decision, not a guess. Whether you pick glass aquariums or acrylic tanks there are some differences that you need to be aware of.
Acrylic aquarium positives
* Crystal clear clarity
* Stronger and more rigid than glass
* Greater selection of shapes allowing for more custom work
* Very light compared to glass
* Crack resistant
* Resistant to leaking
* Can be modified very easily to accommodate extra accessories
* Greater insulation than glass
* Because acrylic is stronger and less likely to break more online stores carry it over glass
Cons of Acrylic Aquariums
* Higher cost
* Easily scratched
* Difficult to repair
* Certain amount of visual distortion
*Over time lower grades of acrylic can turn slightly yellow
Pros for Glass Aquariums
* Multiple sizes and shapes
* Last for years and years
* Almost scratch resistant
* Lower cost than acrylic
* Will not discolor
* Extra support or bracing is not required
* Very popular
Cons for Glass Aquariums
* Much heavier than acrylic which in turn will require a more robust stand or table
* Has a higher rick of breaking or cracking
* Almost impossible to modify making it hard to add accessories later on
* Not very mobile after it has been filled
* Less choice when it comes to custom work
* Less insulated than acrylic
* Less online vendors willing to carry glass
More selections are available with acrylic because it is easier to fabricate or mold than glass. This makes an acrylic good conversational topic when friends come over. However this causes one drawback. Depending on the shape of your acrylic aquarium, you may have a lower air to water ratio, which can result in your fish suffocating.
If you decide that you are not going to move your aquarium once it is filled then glass may be the best option for you. Although glass distorts light a little more than acrylic it will not yellow over time giving you a longer lasting experience in the years to come.
The glass aquariums tanks are more breakable than the acrylic aquariums, however if you keep your aquarium out of the mainstream of traffic in your home or office, this should not pose an issue. Glass will only shatter if you hit it accidentally or run into it accidentally, after all.
With acrylic tanks your selections for design are limited only by your imagination. But remember to take your pets needs into consideration by not overloading the tank. Because this can and will affect their ability to flourish.
A couple of final points to remember is if you plan on having a lot of stuff like coral, plants, fish or rock in your aquarium tank then glass is a good choice as it can expand and breath to accommodate the extra weight. Where as acrylic can sometimes bow under extreme pressure depending on the tank design.
Finally the most important thing to remember is the health of your wet friends. If your keep their welfare in the forefront of your mind then everything should work out just fine.
أتمنى ما اكون تقلت عليكم وسامحوني على المداخله ,
